Ann's Happiness

People find happiness in different ways. For me, I find happiness in daily life.
For example, because I am a very dependent girl, I always want to find the feeling of safety or eager to have the feeling of warm home. So sometimes I may have homesick, and I always want to go home. However, my hometown is located on Kaohsiung. I can’t go home every week. So whenever I go Kaohsiung every month, I feel that home is the most happiness in the world. Moreover, after the earthquake in Japan, some Japanese lost their family, lover even friends. I really appreciate God that still makes me have my family and friends to accompany me together. Happiness is the simple things in life. It’s not about how big my house is, how much money I have. The most important part is our family and people who go together with us every day. Thus, just have love and peace in mind and express happiness to everyone in the simple but unusual daily life.

My New Semester Resolutions

My New Semester Resolutions

It’s another New Year, also the new spring semester. The spring semester has begun for few weeks. That means we should review or reflect the previous semester achievements or failures and turn over a new leaf to learn more in school. Setting up some goals is not only for the study but also for the future. So I am determined to make some goals to keep learning. These goals include enhancing English ability, plenty of reading, and having healthy lifestyle.

First of all, I really hope that I can enhance English ability after the semester. At least, reach a certain level that between intermediate and advanced level. So that I can have fluency communication with anyone, have accurate academic writing skills, and read original book or paper more easily. Therefore, I attend the TOEIC test in March. In order to get above 800 score in March TOEIC test, I practice it every day. For example, listen to English programs and do lots of reading exercises. Moreover, by every week’s assignment and practice, I believe I can acquire more writing skills from the Intermediate English Writing class. Besides, keep the saying” You speak more, you learn more” in mind, and try to make myself have higher participation in related-English courses. In other words, every class I need to have some opinion or question to interact with teachers and classmates so that my speaking ability will be better and better. The more I learn, the more my English ability improves.

Second, plenty of reading is essential goal to me. Although I know reading has lots of benefits such as having different ways of thinking or enhancing logical ability, reading isn’t become the part of my hobbies. I am lazy to read so many words that I am lack of having interests in books. However, if I don’t read anymore, maybe someday my knowledge, common sense and logical thinking ability would be faded away. Similarly, I probably can’t keep up the trends in the world even losing competitiveness. For these reasons, I need to read newspapers or magazines at least three times per week and read four books in the semester. And in the near future, owing to plenty of reading, I can have more topics to talk with anyone.

Furthermore, having healthy lifestyle is also important. We know that healthy lifestyle has lots of benefits to our body. It includes making our body stronger, decreasing the risk of chronic disease such as heart disease or hypertension and so on.Thus, I decide to put healthy lifestyle into action. By doing more exercises, they relieve the pressure from daily life, give me more happy mind to face any challenges, keep healthy body, and keep good shape. Now, I am looking forward to seeing the upcoming spring and summer because of sunny and warm weather. It implies that I can go brisk walking and go jogging every day!

In conclusion, it’s just the start of the new semester. I should cherish and hold every minute every second I have. Be persistent and diligent to do the resolutions-enhancing English ability, plenty of reading, and having healthy lifestyle. Live while I am alive and talk to myself” just know what I do is I really love to do and enjoy it.” That’s worth it!

My New Semester Resolutions (2nd Draft)

It’s a new spring semester that represents I can turn over a new leaf. So I plan some goals in the semester. First of all, in English aspects, I hope I can get above 800 scores in March TOEIC test. Also, try to make myself have high attendance and participation in related-English course. I always believe the saying” You speak more, you learn more.” That means every class I need to have some opinion or question to interact with teachers so that my speaking ability will improve.

Second, plenty of reading is essential goal to me. I realized I don’t have the habit of reading. However, if I don’t read anymore, maybe someday my knowledge, common sense and logical thinking ability would be faded away. Moreover, I probably can’t keep up the trends in the world. So at least I need to read newspapers or magazines three times per week and read four books in the semester. Third, I expect the upcoming spring and summer because of sunny weather. I can go brisk walking twice per hour per week to keep health and keep good shape.

Last but not least, I am junior student but I still haven’t any plan about my future. I hope I can have a realistic goals from the courses what I learned, the teachers what they taught even myself. That’s all my new semester resolution. I talk to myself, just know what I do is I really love to do and enjoy it. That’s worth it!
